Welcome to Vance Senior High School-Class of 81. It is with great pleasure and honor that we, the committee extend this invitation for an ultimate and luxurious Reunion, which is even more special this year as we celebrate 30 years overlooking the high seas of Kerr Lake together for the first time ever in Henderson, North Carolina. The heritage and the legacy you’ve helped shape—reuniting with classmates and friends, rekindling Vikings pride and loyalty, remembering the past, and creating new memories, so join us October 7th - 9th, for a weekend you won’t forget! An invitation will be extended to the classes of 1980 and 1982. Prepare yourself for memories and get your tickets to the Largest Class Ship…The Fantastic Voyage Navigator of the Seas!
Time has certainly flown by and it seems only yesterday when we were running on the campus of Vance Senior High. Our freshman year on campus was the beginning of us developing life-long relationships and beginning the transition to adulthood. Our experiences molded us and prepared us for the lives we currently live and enjoy. It is not very difficult to remember the wonderful times spent at VSHS—whenwe were together almost everyday—went through puberty together—when we formed many of the values we now hold dear, and many of the most intimate, precious and lasting friendships of our lives—hanging out in the hallways and on the plaza—walking to Humpty Dumpty—Homecoming—Friday night football games against other schools, but mostly Warren, Oxford, Durham—and who could forget Prom Night and Graduation. These mutual experiences helped develop a special bond between classmates and the faculty of the Viking’s Family.
The committee has worked diligently planning a spectacular event in the City of Henderson, where it all began. Daily and evening events have been commenced for this celebration. At this point, any tweaking will be coming from the committee. It is our goal to ensure you that we do not let this significant milestone pass without celebrating and hoping you will join in for the most exciting, most intimate grown and sexy 30th Reunion on the Fantastic Voyage ever, don’t wait until the last minute, the prices change after August 1st. Your cabin is waiting for you, pay now or before due dates.
We want to do it big and we’re extremely excited, so we have done our part, now we need you to do yours. We encourage you to take advantage of the “Early Bird Special” and also support the fundraisers which you will find in the registration.
We look forward to seeing you and mostly interested in hearing stories from years gone by!
All efforts have been made to make the occasion memorable and fun for all involved. We are going to have a “BALL”, look out Fantastic Voyage!
